I have to be honest, I was a bit scared when I read the instructions, but don't let them dissuade you. Just do what they say, and it will work! That being said, I did one thing differently... I trimmed the excess paper off after the wallpaper was up and dry, rather than before. I cut slits in the excess so it wouldn't pull up the stuck wallpaper as it dried and tightened. And any bubbles flatten out as it dries. (Which was a huge source of anxiety for me!) Insanely fast shipping, and I've gotten so many compliments!
